I’m the tech expert around the house. I’ve been using a Windows 8 CD from Best Buy for a while now, even though it’s not great. Now I’m planning to switch to Windows 10 and need the best deals on CDs or USB drives with activation keys.

Create a W10 boot USB using the Microsoft tool, then obtain a cheap activation code from eBay for each setup.

I wasn't aware you could purchase a key from eBay. The only limitation is that I can reuse the key once, as I previously used it across all my computers before resetting them.

The Windows files are available without cost; the license fee applies. The media creation tool mentioned is recommended by others. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software.../windows10 Typically, you can only activate a key on a single PC unless you have advanced setups like a MAK key or KMS configuration. Retail keys may work on multiple devices but remain active per PC only.

Using the key on another machine will turn it off on your first one.

You can install Windows 10 (or a newer version) onto a CD, but it's too large for that format. Use a DVD or USB flash drive instead.

You may reinstall on the same computer as often as desired. If the motherboard is updated, a different key is required. Only one active PC should be linked to each key at once.
