It would make more sense to play and stream on the same i3 setup. I don’t think there’s much value in using that laptop, though it should function. That way, you won’t need to purchase a capture card either.

I’m mainly worried about the game’s performance—it runs around 300 to 400 frames per second on my laptop. I’ve noticed others achieving over 800 fps with an Intel HD5500, which makes me think it might slow down stream encoding. Before jumping into a capture card, I’ll test this myself. Thanks Smile

It shouldn't be a problem. The stream will just record at 30 or 60 frames per second, and you usually have the option to cap game speed if necessary.

I usually cap game FPS at 120 or 240 since it improves input response and rhythm games benefit from low latency. Streaming at 60 FPS works too because my monitor runs at 60 Hz.

If you create a fresh system optimized for video recording, it will outperform your desktop and you could enjoy using it without needing a capture card.

I've been exploring further and would like to know if this Intel NUC fits your needs. It seems similar to the i3 10100 but offers a better GPU at a lower cost. Yes, I think it would be ideal to avoid using a capture card.

The expansion options are limited, offering just one M.2 drive by default. Additional drives would need USB external solutions. Since you likely don’t require much space, it’s still a reasonable choice.

Noticed the cost didn't include RAM or SSD;-; will have to search for better alternatives.
