Hey everyone, I'm facing some issues with my Win 10 laptop. I recently bought new games on Steam and want to record them for my YouTube channel. I have an AMD GPU and am playing just a few titles—2, Tomb Raider, and Geometry Dash. The recording software I downloaded from AMD's site, which was called raptr, isn't working properly with these games. I'm looking for other free recording options. I've also tried OBS and Overwolf. Help is needed! — Afsbg77

You can try the free version using a simple logo and a 10-minute cap, or upgrade to the full version for unlimited use. Combine them later in post-editing. Edited December 31, 2015 by Godlygamer23

OBS is likely the top choice for recording, but it's unclear why you're facing issues. Also:

Are there any alternatives to Bandicam when the 10-minute limit feels restrictive?

Fraps offers a free option, or you might be able to steal it, around twenty dollars.

Depending on your GPU, you can either use NVIDIA ShadowPlay or, if you have AMD, the AMD Gaming APP (play.tv) which provides the same functionality. It doesn’t require a subscription; I simply use it for recording gameplay. Edit: Both options are free.

What's the benefit of getting it for free? Also, do you think these adjustments really make a big difference in how the game runs?

I believe Xsplit now offers a free version, so you might want to give it a try...
