Are there any records or databases tracking overclocking data and core voltage results for Ryzen 5000 series chips? I’m looking for details on sample grades—platinum, golden, silver, bronze—or worse—and how they compare. I’ve checked online sources but haven’t found any statistics or reports on platinum, golden, silver, or bronze samples from CTR. Some users on Reddit claim Ryzen 5900X and 5950X can reach 4.6 to 4.8GHz with a 1.237vcore across all cores, which sounds impressive but seems rare. Is it possible in the top 10%? Testing would require buying multiple units and selling them at a loss, but if the percentage is low (under 1%), it might not be worth it. I’m also interested in finding CPUs with lower vcores and better power efficiency, especially since I don’t use liquid cooling. For the Ryzen 5000, there’s no historical binning data available, though Alder Lake has been released recently. I’m hoping to find a 5900X model that not only runs well but also fits my cooling and power needs. Would anyone know of any resources or have experience with Ryzen 5000 samples?

I haven't directly observed Alder Lake OC outcomes yet, but with the 10th and 11th generation chips, Intel pushed 14nm so aggressively that OC data became almost irrelevant. Ryzen also struggles with consistent overclocking, and Precision Boost typically delivers strong gains without manual tweaks. Therefore, the optimal approach for Ryzen is reducing voltage while ensuring sufficient cooling capacity to let it self-optimize. This strategy worked well with Zen 2, though achieving stable low voltage proved challenging. With Zen 3, AMD added the Curve Optimizer, simplifying the process. By applying a per-core voltage reduction and carefully setting PBO limits, I achieved stable speeds of 4.7–4.8GHz across all cores and 5.15GHz on the single core with my 5900X.
