Loosen Coax Cable properly
Loosen Coax Cable properly
Hi, I handled some cable management and sorting recently. I shifted my modem slightly and after restarting everything, my speeds dropped to 10-15 mbit/s with inconsistent performance. Ping remained stable. (I previously experienced this issue) when I rebooted everything in the correct sequence and also changed cables. I once believed the problem stemmed from a loose or misaligned LAN cable between the modem and router. Today I discovered coaxial cables are very sensitive to a precise connection. Could my speed drop be due to a slightly tightened or improperly secured coax cable? I’m confident it’s not related to my provider or any third party. Thanks, Martin.
Ensure coax connections are secure. If TV or cellular signals interfere with the cable system, problems may arise. Network interference often stems from poor connections or faulty wiring. Testing your modem’s signal strength is the most effective method to identify issues. Visit 192.168.100.1 for this check. Persistent uncorrectable errors indicate a problem.
