If you're looking to purchase an older chipset and aren't certain about CPU compatibility (such as a Ryzen 3000 on a B450 board), simply look at the motherboard's documentation to confirm support for the CPU. For instance, Intel has added more CPUs to certain sockets over time, like in the 9th generation line.
Certain motherboards come with "Ryzen 3000 Ready" or "Ryzen 2000 Ready" markings on the packaging, aiding in selection, though pinpointing the precise model is unlikely.
It mainly consisted of a 5000-series model for my B550, because I found out some are already compatible.
