The performance will mainly focus on competitive gaming, especially titles like Escape From Tarkov, Counter Strike, and Rainbow Six Siege, emphasizing FPS gameplay. It will occasionally include AAA games, preferring medium to high settings, and doesn’t pay much attention to ray tracing. I’m considering buying one of the 4070 models but am unsure which version is suitable for my needs. The link provided is a helpful reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JN7DMV

You have a wide range of options for the RTX4070. What budget are you planning for your GPU upgrade? Have you considered that the three games you mentioned might not be the only ones putting strain on the system? Since ray tracing isn't your focus, you could explore AMD's alternatives or something with lower specifications, especially since two of the titles you referenced are e-sports games that require less GPU power.

This processor supports any game or GPU, so your budget is the main consideration.

Here are a few minor adjustments made to your build.
1. upgraded quality ATX 3.0 PSU.
2. board featuring improved audio codec: Realtek 4080
3. enhanced RAM speed: DDR5 6000 CL30
4. upgraded case design.
5. mostly similar GPU but at a lower cost.

The maximum budget for a GPU would be approximately 800, though I prefer not to spend that much if it’s unnecessary. The games I plan to play are mainly those listed, but I might try titles like Cyberpunk 2077. I aim for around 100 FPS at medium settings on the top-tier games. I’ve noticed AMD performs better for competitive titles, but I’d rather pay more since I’m more comfortable with Nvidia and use its software often.

Thanks for your assistance. For the design, I prefer sleeker, more angular options, such as the one shown here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VNZHL44?tag...th=1&psc=1
Could it be possible to adjust the case to something similar? It doesn't have to be a specific style, just more boxy and sharp without the rounded edges.

Ensure the case includes a front mesh panel so the fans can access air for proper ventilation.

the TT GF A3 850W is a solid choice. it meets ATX 3.0 standards and qualifies as a tier a device. there are no major concerns there.
for 1080p, the 4070ti is certainly excessive. the standard 4070 will suffice for 1080p at 144hz.
if you're not interested in ray tracing and prefer a more affordable option, the RX 6750 XT is also a viable alternative.

I would approach it in a similar way to @Why_Me, but with some rearranged details and a 4070S instead. I think those games you’re playing don’t really require such high GPU power at 1080p, and I’d save around $200. I run Tarkov at 1440p and consistently get over 100 fps on every map except for the streets where it drops to about 85-90 depending on my position. My CPU is less powerful—specifically a 5800X3D paired with a 3080—roughly 10% slower than a 4070S. Here’s how I’d set it up.

Hi vertoxed -
Your query about needing a GPU and building one that matches your games is clear. Have you looked at systemrequirementslab.com? For nearly any game available online, this site provides the necessary minimum and recommended specifications. This can boost your confidence in choosing hardware and also alert you ahead of time if you're adding too much power. It's also useful for thinking about future needs—like whether a particular game will require upgrades later. Hope this is helpful!
