Hello, I'm considering purchasing a 5070ti once prices fall closer to the MSRP. I currently own a Corsair HX850 Platinum PSU. I'm unsure if it's wise to switch to an ATX 3.0 PSU to handle power surges. From what I understand, my previous PSU was ATX version 2.4 with an 850W rating, which may not be sufficient for the power spikes from the 5070ti. Do you agree or disagree?

Regarding upgrading, do you have any suggestions? I believe an 850W unit would be a solid choice. My preferred brands are Asus, Be Quiet!, and Corsair, but only the latter two offer blue ratings for ATX 3.0 PSUs in the tier A list on the cultists site. Am I correct that this is due to a lack of professional reviews?

Will an ATX 3.0 PSU include a PCIe Gen 5 cable? Also, since I only have an old GSync monitor and assuming AMD's GPU isn't significantly better than the 5070ti, should I stick with the current setup?

I own a Corsair HX850 Platinum PSU. I want to know its age and what it powered during its use. Is an ATX 3.0 PSU available with a PCIe Gen 5 cable? Yes, even without a built-in 12V-2x6/12VHPWR connection, the card should include an adapter.

It's currently June, and it runs a Ryzen 9 5900X with a GTX 970. I really don't mind investing in a better power supply.
