Will the 7700k maintain low temperatures at 5.0Ghz using the Deepcool CAPTIAN 240EX WHITE?

Nope. Running at 5~5.2Ghz needs delidding for decent performance. Water cooling is necessary just to reach the ball speed, and even then some struggle at 4.8Ghz. Delidding likely pushes it up to 5Ghz at 75c+.

In comparison, temperatures will stay under 80c. But if you're looking for more advanced choices, there are superior alternatives to the AIO.

Under prime 95, a worst-case synthetic load using an OC'd CPU can perform almost as well as the EK predator 240 at moderate temperatures. This confirms the idea that it's completely acceptable.

I wasn't trying to suggest it wouldn't work, but it doesn't perform well in cold conditions. Below 70°C feels too low for me, and reaching around 65°C isn't ideal during gameplay.

Delidding isn't required, it voids the warranty and is a highly delicate process.
