Hello everyone. Here’s what I’m working with right now: CPU-I3 9100F, GPU-RX570, 4 GB RAM, 16 GB PSU, Corsair 600W motherboard, GIGABYTE Z370P. I’m considering upgrading the CPU to an I5 9600K and wondering what others recommend. Should I go ahead with that, or wait for an I7 9700K? I feel the current CPU is stronger than the GPU, so I’m worried about bottlenecks.
What financial range are you considering? What goal does this enhancement serve, and I want to be precise—beyond just seeking a quicker processor.
The RX 570 4GB and i3 9100F offer a solid pairing. The CPU might limit performance in certain games, but it isn’t overly problematic. Which titles are you running? The 9700K could still be a good fit for CPU-heavy games.
I enjoy playing GTA V, Valorant, Fortnite and Forza Horizon 5. I’m considering upgrading for better FPS and have this CPU for about two years now. I’m thinking about purchasing a new one.
Forza typically performs best with GPU power rather than CPU upgrades, though performance may vary based on game settings. The 9600K should suffice for those titles, particularly with a slight overclock. Adding a 9700K or 9900K could help if those extra cores are beneficial, but they aren't necessary for the games you mentioned. Also, what RAM speed do you currently have?

Your CPU might be limiting your gaming experience, so upgrading could make a big difference. If not, the benefits are minimal. When you choose to upgrade and stick with the same motherboard, a 9700K or even a 9900K would be suitable options. But keep in mind these speeds may not match your GPU's capabilities.
I’d choose 9900k. The speed improvements for the 9600k or 9700k are good, but the hyper-threading in 9900k should aid your lower percentages, making gameplay smoother. Of course, this depends on the GPU you own. If you can get one near $200, that would be ideal.
