Have you considered testing Escape From Tarkov before deciding if you enjoy it?

Occasionally they provide trial keys that players with the game can distribute.

I like watching people stream it, but in the end, I don't think it'll be worth the money. I've seen sometimes where the streamer is waiting to load into the game for 15 minutes. Not a ton of times, but enough for me. I'd love to buy it, but a real hardcore game into today's society? lol, that won't last too long. People still losing their sleep with Dark Souls. But to answer your question, it's what the above poster stated... you gotta hope one of the homies give you a trial key.

Yeah, I had similar thoughts too, which is why I decided to give it a shot.
I'm still unsure, maybe I'll wait until I can get a key or something.

Not really. It's extremely tough. I should probably ask... what's the most tactical FPS game you've played?

In my view, these are quite intense and I really enjoy them.

You should be comfortable playing tarkov. These games aren't meant to be compared directly, as each has its own style. But it looks like you're accustomed to getting frustrated by the challenges in those titles...you'll likely enjoy tarkov.

If you're looking for a community, I suggest checking out the Discord group called We Are Borg. They have a "Looking for" tab in their channel—just join and you should find players quickly. I use it regularly.

I recommend starting with the standard edition to get a feel for it, and then consider upgrading if you like. I upgraded from the standard to the top tier edition after about a year of play—it was definitely worth it.
