I upgraded my PC about six months ago and I’m considering a refresh. I believe my CPU is limiting performance. Could you offer some guidance on what to do? Here’s the build link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Graymac_12...iew=LHkHzy. Appreciate any advice!

Make sure your BIOS is updated, grab a 5600X, install it, and you should be fine. Expect a 5-20% increase in FPS.

You might get a great match with the Ryzen 3 5600X if you wait for the BIOS release. If you prefer a quicker option, a lower-end B550 would work well and the update will likely be ready soon.

I believe the DDR4-3000 is limiting performance. AMD aims for at least DDR4-3600 to function optimally. Besides the memory, I’d consider replacing the CPU with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X.

Your present setup works well for this purpose. The Ryzen 5 5600X seems to be a solid choice.

I don’t require an upgrade, yet I’m looking for improved FPS in Rust and other titles. With my current budget, I thought it was worth it.
