Asus Prime x670-p board, SSD with OS for another Asus board, still unsure about the next generation; mainly checking what makes sense and how effective an SSD with OS would be on another motherboard. The main point is 4x PCIe lanes, which is more about performance than just simplifying top-tier Asus boards.
The OS will quickly start and boot using the updated hardware. The main issue lies in Windows activation and whether your license is OEM or personal. The OEM version is linked to the motherboard, so you’ll need to purchase a new key (search Google) or obtain a personal license from Microsoft.
I'm seeking features that enhance performance, expand connectivity options, and improve overall reliability compared to my existing motherboard.
The purpose of updating the board is to ensure compatibility and functionality. There are no additional features or improvements from other boards. Any performance benefits would not materialize.
