I'm preparing an old laptop for retro gaming. It features a Pentium M 1.7Ghz processor, 512MB RAM (one stick), and an ATI Radeon Mobility 9700 with 128MB of memory, plus a 60GB hard drive. Based on these specs, I'm planning to run games from 2003-2004 or earlier. I'm eager for recommendations on titles that fit this setup and have been hard to find. I already have StarCraft 1 and Diablo 2 in low resolution. Thanks for any advice you can offer!
No, they can be modern indie titles too. Old games aren't the only option—8-bit style indie games are just as valid and fun.
I’d think of them if they work with this outdated POS system, okay?
Retro city rampage is great. Played this a while ago, some sort of 8-bit style GTA game. Binding of isaac is not retro, but might run. Shadow warrior classic redux is great.Duke Nukem 3D, Blood: One Unit Whole Blood, old GTA's? Carmageddon, really old serious sams. etc etc. Not sure if any of those will run as i dont have time to check atm. But great games for sure!
