Hi guys, this is my first thread in tomshw uk from Italy. I’m asking for advice on which AIR cooler to purchase so I can overclock my 6600k to 4.0–4.5 GHz while keeping temperatures stable. My budget for the cooler and some additional fans is around 130€.

Here are my current specs:
- Motherboard: Asus z170 pro gaming
- CPU: i5 6600k
- Graphics card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 g1 gaming
- Case: Cooler Master masterbox 5
- Hard Disk: Western Digital WD10EZEX caviar blue

I’m also considering a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 with 2 silentwings 3 PWM. Can I be sure I’m buying the right components?

GreenGarry :
yeah, i'm gonna buy the noctua nh d15.. it's a better cooler than the dark rock pro 3.
And what chassis fans (2) should i buy? i want to suck air from front outside to inside of the case and make the noctua pushing air to another fan who pull from inside to outside.
There are many good fans and u cant really rely on one person.
I prefer magnetic bearing fans like 2x pack
https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Premium-M...ML140+Twin
These fans have both static pressure and good airflow, suites me so well to push air though all HDD caddies and dust filters. There also LED more expensive model.
But if you want something cheaper with pure...

This product offers great value compared to pricier options like Corsair H110 or Kraken X62.

For those needing airflow, consider these alternatives:

https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-D15-hea...tua+NH-D15
https://www.amazon.com/Cryorig-Ultimate-...ds=cryorig

which is superior among the cryiorig ultimate, noctua nh d15, and dark rock pro 3? Are silentwings 3 sufficient for achieving a good airflow inside my case? Oh, I prefer not to use any ai o water cooling system—perhaps a custom solution would be better?

Sure, I'll buy the Noctua NH-D15. It's a better cooler than the Dark Rock Pro 3. As for the chassis fans, you should consider getting two to move air from outside into the case and direct the airflow from the Noctua to another fan that draws in air from inside and pushes it out.

GreenGarry plans to purchase the noctua nh d15, considering it a superior cooler compared to the dark rock pro 3. Regarding the chassis fans, he needs two options to draw air from outside into the case and direct the cooling air through another fan that draws in from inside. He believes it’s best not to depend on just one type of fan. He favors magnetic bearing fans, such as a pair, and links to a product page for details: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Premium-M...ML140+Twin. These models offer both static pressure and strong airflow, which suits his needs for handling all HDD caddies and dust filters. He also mentions a more expensive LED variant. If budget is a concern and pure airflow matters, he recommends the fractal design dynamic gp14: https://www.amazon.com/Fractal-Design-Dy...amic+gp-14. He recalls these fans performing well in his previous build, operating quietly. All the suggested models come in 120mm and 140mm sizes.

Thanks, I plan to purchase two Corsair ML120 units (possibly with LEDs). At least I can secure a refund and reconsider. Thanks to everyone!

The best value cooler is the Hyper 212 Evo, my friend. He runs his 6600K at 4.5 GHz and still has room in the temperature range, but 4.6 isn’t stable enough for him.
