Currently it doesn't make much of a difference since not every game supports DX12. Still, I stick with Windows 10, which is my top pick, and Windows 8.1 is my backup option (use classic start if you don't like the new menu). Some titles perform better on Windows 10.

Windows 10 is better than 8.1 and definitely an upgrade from 10.

Ensure a fresh installation when upgrading. The initial upgrade isn't a clean setup—reinstall afterward.

Currently, all the games I've played across different operating systems have behaved similarly from Windows 7 to 10. Usually, any frame rate differences are minimal, often below single digits. Windows 10 tends to be better for games that use DirectX 12. If you're asking whether Windows 10 is a secure upgrade for gamers, my personal experience suggests it is.

Windows 10 offers a minor advantage. Vulkan can also function on Windows.

It doesn't matter, just install Windows 10—it was free after all.

If you run dual graphics cards in sli then 8 but if you dont then 10. Im still waiting till they remove head from ass so i can start using 10. Last I heard people are still having problems with sli setups unless they have addressed that recently which I haven't seen yet.
