It's updated compared to version 7, offering some new capabilities, though it still lacks the strong privacy protections found in version 10.

It relies on your preference for confidentiality. If it matters less, choose Windows 10. If it does matter, select Windows 7.

I’d choose the operating system you prefer from 7 and 8.1, then upgrade to 10 when you’re ready. Performance differences are minimal—XP x64 or Vista would work just fine!

I prefer Windows 7 or 10; 8.1 seems to be a poor choice.

The right choice is 10, though if you feel anxious and believe your life isn't completely safe online (since many people share their accounts), go for 8.1. But 10 is actually the better option.

I appreciate the design of 10; it works well even if adjustments are needed for optimal performance, and there are many enhancements made.

Linux! Have you come across the Vulcan API? Even Valve is moving away from DX12.
