Decided between MSI Unify and Gigabyte Master; chose the master since Unify didn’t support IGPU and I couldn’t secure the 10700K. Prefer the master’s design over the i5-8400. What kind of question is that? Any higher end part in theory you could get a slightly longer life span out of. Plus it's all about when the individual decides it's time to upgrade. I can't think of any point in CPUS or GPUS in the past decade where less than 2 years made high end hardware useless or even a must upgrade. You don't need to put your morals on other's and tell them they are wasting money on a valid purchase.
