The market under $200 is mostly outdated, so I’d recommend going used now—like a 1060 or 1070—only if you can find good deals. The right choice really depends on the games you plan to play.

I wouldn't bother at all. The gap between those two CPUs is pretty small. The i5-2500k needs a score of 4,090, while the i7-2700k requires 5,607. For context, a Ryzen 3-3300X—similar to the i3s—has a threshold of 12,777. Beyond old games, this won't really boost performance in modern titles.
