I've been thinking about getting a VPN for some time, but I haven't had the funds yet. I'm trying to decide which one to pick. My main priorities are privacy and trustworthiness—no logging, no surprises. I also want to use OpenVPN and avoid being locked into their own client. The 100MB connection limit is important too. PIA seems to cover all these needs, but I'm just exploring other options before committing. Thanks!

Windscribe is quite affordable. I’m not sure about its performance, but my plan costs only $3 each month.

I’m sharing my thoughts based on my current sponsorship. My perspective remains independent of any partnership. Generally, the top two VPN services are ExpressVPN and NordVPN. I haven’t explored ExpressVPN pricing extensively, but I believe Nord costs around $3.99 monthly for a three-year plan. ExpressVPN offers broader coverage, while Nord covers all the countries you typically need. From what I’ve noticed, Nord’s servers can handle speeds up to 500 Mbps (my gigabit connection usually gives me around the low hundreds) and ExpressVPN also provides ample bandwidth. They’re quite comparable, depending on your budget and additional requirements. Both meet your basic needs and are similar in price. If you have more specific criteria, I’d be happy to help refine the search. If you decide on Nord, just let me know and I can share my affiliate link (which may offer benefits). Please note they both guarantee no data logging, though tracking is possible with any VPN. For maximum privacy, TOR remains the best option.

$3 per month, no data logging. No problems with the speed.

Sure. I occasionally rely on TOR for certain tasks, though it’s frustrating to use on today’s crowded, script-heavy websites. It’s not practical to read everything through the terminal via TOR.
