Hello, for a Threadripper 3960X in the $500 range, I recommend looking into motherboards with overclocking support and solid VRM. The Gigabyte AORUS Master is a solid choice based on your needs. What are your thoughts on that board?

The Strix TRX40-E is a solid board. It holds up well, though I suspect many of them have some quirks. Linus has talked about how most of these boards can be a bit unusual at their best.

Eliminate the most affordable board or a nearly identical version from every brand and Asrock. The choice comes down to slight tweaks versus overall performance, especially if you prioritize overclocking.
