I'm trying to improve my setup for this board (Rampage V Extreme). I've made some miner adjustments but decided to return to the original settings. I noticed my DDR4 XMP profile isn't setting to 3000MHz—it only goes up to 2400MHz. I'm also planning to optimize the CPU settings.

The newest BIOS might require manual adjustments afterward. X99 wasn't ideal for customizing memory settings until later BIOS releases and the introduction of 6xxx Broadwell processors.

Thanks for the note. I hadn't considered updating the BIOS. Should the board support 3000MHz?

Beyond 2133 is an overclock and isn't assured—it varies by board, RAM, and CPU. What are your BIOS configurations? You might be unlucky and end up with a system that doesn’t perform well.

The board might be able to (when a Rampage board isn't, other options won't work either), but the CPU could struggle.
