Regarding the remaining components, the system will experience slowdowns due to a lack of available memory, even when no files are present.

They seem confused about why people resist having enough system memory. 2x32GB options are common and Microsoft actually suggests it for optimal performance. It wouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't even think about 32GB right now. Two years ago, this machine cost $270 for 32GB; now you can get 64GB for $160-170, which feels quite reasonable to me.

I’m just sharing what I found; more input could be useful. A number of 32 is possible, but don’t rely solely on one source. Remember, not everyone agrees.

It varies depending on what you're doing, the app you're using, and the game. Generally, it's not that complicated—just having Spotify, Discord, and a few browser tabs won’t overload your system much. If you have many tabs, it could slow things down, but most people keep it under 10 at a time.

Looking at this option here unless someone clarifies otherwise? The product page suggests 64GB of RAM is ideal, particularly when using third-party applications such as RealATC or other add-ons for aircraft.

If you may I'd say it depends not only on the price but what you get for it If you pay for 64gb but never use more than 20 then 32gb is a better deal There is nuance to this and I'm oversimplifying it but 64gb now isn't a bad deal I will agree to that (unlike gpus tho but that's another matter)

My computer mainly runs AAA games in 4K with maximum settings. I won’t recommend just enough performance, as that’s usually not wise for long-term use. Still, I’m decent at stopping programs, but even then, memory usage from certain titles is starting to worry me. 48GB or 64GB should be the baseline for top-tier systems in 2025, considering how much cheaper DDR5 storage has become.

Clear to grasp but I’ll include lower quality options too. Such as games that run smoothly at lower resolutions or simpler setups, which is why many people opt for high-end systems like CoD in 4K or a BMW on 1440p. Personally, I won’t recommend 64GB storage just yet unless it’s essential or offers better value. I get your perspective and understand that developers often prioritize performance over optimization.

100%. I'm usually breaking 32gb used when gaming, anything modded pushes me over easily. Win11 and all those apps we talked to accumulate just add up Plus, I tend o have Enshrouded running in the background so the gf can play on our server is more my issue than anyone else's, but definitely raises RAM usage . 64gb is what I would recommend if you even THINK you would want it. Especially since ddr5 has issues with 4 sticks, so you can't always just add another kit later.
