Looking for straightforward real-time backup solutions?
Hello everyone, I have two hard drives for work. I want to set up a system where any changes or creations on one drive automatically update the backup drive. For instance, if I edit a .doc file, the same version should appear on the secondary drive. Similarly, when I generate a new .doc, a duplicate is saved on the backup drive. Please let me know what you recommend.
Consider using automatic backup as an alternative name for scheduled backups. This feature adds an extra option within the backup settings. Essentially, automatic backup lets you define when to back up your system, disk, or partition. Once you configure a backup schedule, the software will perform the backup at the specified time automatically and consistently.
File History is available in Windows 8 and 10. You can back up folders like Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc., but not select specific folders for backup. The option to say "Backup D:\My Project\" isn't supported. This feature was suggested in user feedback for Windows 10, though it has received few votes and likely hasn't been widely adopted.
I used Microsoft Synctoy. If it had functioned better, it would have been an excellent choice. You might want to give it another try and check if it meets your needs.
