I used to play games solo a while back and now I’m looking for some options that fit your preferences. I want something not in first-person shooters or strategy genres—just something engaging. I don’t mind if the graphics aren’t top-notch as long as it’s enjoyable. Any ideas would be great, thanks!

Portal and Portal 2 are must-play games if you haven't tried them yet. Cave Story is another favorite of mine that I highly suggest.

I gathered a mix of popular titles including Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Subnautica, Terraria, Assassin's Creed Unity, Hogwarts Legacy, and more. It’s a fun collection of games I’ve played often!

Portal Stories: Mel tops my list, it feels more enjoyable than the official versions. Here’s what I’m considering: 1. Black Mesa (Windows/Linux, $20 Steam) 2. Portal Stories: Mel (Windows/Linux, free if you own Portal 2 on Steam) 3. The Mast (a Scratch gem, a compiled version works best) 4. Half-Life: Blue Shift ($5 Steam, Windows/Linux) 5. Entropy: Zero 2 (Windows/Linux, free with Half-Life 2 on Steam) 6. We Happy Few (various, $5 Steam) 7. Cats Are Liquid: A Better Place ($2 Steam, ad-free on mobile) 8. DOOM Eternal (any platform, $10 Steam) 9. Quake ($10 Steam) 10. Half-Life 2 ($10 Steam)

I haven't tried the other titles I own; I focused on non-AAA games since I used to play mostly FPS experiences before moving away from solo play.

It seems you're considering your options carefully. You mentioned you don’t usually play big-name titles and currently have just a couple on your list.

I checked the site and added it to my wishlist. Later I'll look it up more thoroughly. It’s already saved in my collection—great timing! Classic Steam collecting really works.
