Looking for recommendations on case fans for your motherboard? I can help you find the best options!
Hello, I own a Gigabyte B450M Ds3h V1 with a Deepcool MATREXX 55 Mesh case. I've had this PC for two years and recently noticed two fans aren't working. The case includes four pre-installed Argb fans, but I don’t have a 3-pin RGB connector—it has a 12V 4-pin header labeled LED_CPU. I need to replace all four fans and can control their colors via PC software. I’m unsure how to connect the fans to the 12V header or which ones to replace. Could you help with guidance and recommendations? Thank you in advance!
When working with major brands such as lianli or corsair, a USB fan hub is typically provided, making RGB pins on the motherboard irrelevant. Ultimately, opt for a lianli fan or corsair if you prefer avoiding this issue. (nzxt also offers similar options)
Only check the RGB voltage ratings on the fans you purchase to avoid getting incorrect versions. Make sure they match your power requirements—12V or 5V as needed. There are many good-quality fans available at fair prices these days. If you're looking to save, opt for a reputable brand that includes a controller and software for desktop use. Jay has shared some solid, affordable RGB fan reviews around 20 USD per pack, though the exact quantity in each set isn’t clear. Someone else might remember if they were around.
