Hello everyone, I'm trying to connect my Asus F570zd laptop to another 8GB RAM stick to enable dual-channel memory. Since I'm in India and checking Indian Amazon, I noticed a deal: 8GB RAM at 2666 MHz is cheaper than the 8GB at 2400 MHz. I've looked into it, and I think if I upgrade to faster RAM, it might downclock to match the existing speed. I'm curious—are these RAM modules compatible with dual-channel operation? Would it be safe to proceed with this plan? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, the two different speed rams can function together in a dual-channel setup. You generally won’t need to adjust any settings in the laptop’s BIOS.
