Powerline adapters function adequately though they aren't perfect. Ethernet or Wi-Fi tends to be significantly quicker. For me, those two options aren't available on my upstairs computer. I'm unable to set up an Ethernet connection and also experience weak Wi-Fi signals on the second floor. Typically, I see transfer speeds around 40-50mbps using plug adapters, and the link remains steady.

TP links and ASUS are both reliable options for pl adapters.
