While playing the Assassin's Creed series, I noticed Unity and Syndicate weren't working on my Threadripper. After checking, I adjusted the threads to 32 instead of 48, which fixed the crash issue. Then I discovered another problem: at top settings, my graphics card only used about 11 gigabytes of VRAM, which is one card, but top settings exceeded it and dropped performance to around 40 fps. Interestingly, a game review showed that a GPU from 2010 could run Odyssey at over 100 fps in 1080p. I learned that only Black Flag (2013) supports SLI, and back in 2014 Unity was limited to 900 cards without SLI, making smooth performance difficult. Six years later, running these games in 4K still isn't possible. Would a Titan RTX be necessary?

The newest AC titles aren't running smoothly. Pairing them with a CPU that lacks strong performance—especially one with fewer than six cores—and using SLI, which is no longer supported, will likely cause issues. High cost doesn't guarantee quality. This setup is considered cutting-edge because it hasn't been thoroughly tested yet.

These titles perform well on your system, especially compared to others. Your experience with Total War: Warhammer II running smoothly at 50% load and 17 FPS suggests the game isn’t overly demanding for your hardware. Your friend’s results seem unusually low, possibly due to different settings or configurations.

No, it didn't function well with AC power.

This CPU isn't ideal for bottlenecking games. It's costly, but many gamers use 2990WX models.

It has no connection to the brand. The issue lies in the hardware not designed for gaming. The Intel server chips share similar issues.

Choosing a 9900K or 3950X would definitely improve performance and support 4K resolution.

For optimal performance, invest in a 3600X or 9700k and remove one of the 2080 Ti units. Avoid spending excessively on top-tier components.
