Well, this might be a bit intriguing after all. I've thought about getting Sonic Colors: Ultimate as a last-minute Christmas gift for myself and checked out some reviews. [Depending on where you find them and when they're released, opinions can vary quite a bit.] What really confuses me is figuring out which version to choose. I'm mainly split between the Switch edition and the PC version. I know it's improved since its release, but honestly, I'd love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or recommendations. Personally, I'm excited to try it out since I haven't played it yet! If anyone needs more info or wants to chat about this, just let me know—I'll get back to you! Thanks ahead of time and hope someone here can assist me in deciding.

The Digital Foundry review examines the visuals and performance. The analysis suggests the Switch version isn't well-optimized. I'd favor the PC build instead, though it's currently an exclusive on the Epic Games Store. Most opinions suggest EGS is unreliable and may become unsupported soon. Any titles tied to EGS could lose playability. If you're comfortable with that, consider downloading the Wii ROM and testing it in Dolphin emulator. Mods might help achieve 60fps. For Android users, the game runs smoothly on capable devices. Should you still want Ultimate, expect its PC release around the one-year mark. After that, it should be available on Steam and the Steam Deck, which offers better performance.

Thanks for your response! I checked reviews for the PC edition and found only the video you suggested. So far, I’m aware it’s also available through EGS, and I don’t have any issues with them. I’m curious about other ways to run the game on PC besides using EGS—maybe the Deluxe version? I’m not planning a high-end console right now, but it’s possible things could change soon. 😊
