Most games have players who don’t follow the rules. The safest choice is likely to play in more mature communities like Squad, Post Scriptum, Hell Let Loose, or Warband. In my experience, I’ve only encountered a few cheaters in about four to five years of Rainbow Six Siege.
Due to the common presence of hackers and cheaters in PC versions of many multiplayer titles—particularly games like Warzone and CS:GO—these concerns have led some to favor console play for their immersive single-player experiences. Initially, this choice wasn’t widely considered a viable alternative, since the hardware and performance on platforms like PS4 and Xbox often fell short in visual quality and frame rates, along with the need for adapters and the risk of lag. Now, newer consoles promise better graphics and smoother performance, and if reliable online play is offered, some might opt for them to avoid the disruptions caused by cheaters. For PC users who haven’t played on consoles in a while, the cost of online access and the hassle of using peripherals without proper setup can be discouraging. If a console delivers consistent performance and smooth gameplay, it could become a preferred choice for those who still enjoy solo gaming. Ultimately, though, most people likely won’t find much benefit in switching.
