I'm dealing with an MSI MAG Tomahawk WiFi B650 motherboard in a brand new PC. It won't start EXPO at all, no matter what settings I change. When I turn it on with EXPO enabled, the system doesn't even reach BIOS. The fans spin, the RGB lights flash, and static motherboard indicators appear. It stays stuck until I power it down completely. Restarting brings it back to normal, but only when EXPO is off. My RAM kit works perfectly, and the board's BIOS is current. I'm unsure what's causing this issue. Could be the RAM, the board, or even the CPU's IMC? Any advice would be appreciated.

I would verify that the voltage settings are accurate and confirm your RAM is placed in the slots as specified in the manual.

I haven't touched anything. Everything is set to auto as far as I'm aware. Ram is in slots A2/B2 as per the manual. Can EXPO get it wrong then and set the wrong voltages and stuff?

First I'd replace the memory mounts, since DDR5 is quite sensitive to pressure and a poor fit can cause issues (especially for speeds above 6400, though it's manageable). If that doesn't work, disable EXPO and adjust its settings manually. Configure the SOC voltage to 1.25V, DRAM voltage to 1.25V, and follow the specific timings for your memory module (like 36-36-36-77), keeping the frequency at the default setting. Test the system and gradually increase the frequency until it boots successfully.

I'm not sure about EXPO, but it's usually less common with XMP/DOCP on AM4.
