I recently purchased a new laptop and was advised to perform a clean install of Windows due to past issues with Lenovo. Since I haven’t installed Windows on a laptop before, I’m seeking guidance on the process. Could you help me understand what steps to take? I only have a basic undervolting tool and need tips or video resources. Thanks!

Launch the Windows installation media from your device, opt for a custom installation. When prompted to pick a target disk, remove every partition present (since there should be just one drive). Create a fresh partition and proceed with the setup.

I didn’t receive the notification. It’s unclear what you meant. You mentioned installing Windows 10 from a link, placing it on a USB drive, and being unsure about the steps to choose a custom installation, delete partitions, and create a new one.

Getting to the Format screen isn't clear. Pressing the power button seems to jump you straight to your desktop instead.

When the device starts, you must instruct it to boot from the USB via the Boot Menu. Alternatively, you can access the BIOS and configure the bootable USB as a higher priority than the existing drive.
