Choose RAM based on speed and latency needs. You're looking at a Ryzen 5 3600 with an RTX 2060 or better, 16GB total. Your budget is around $1250 or £1000. Decide whether you prefer faster speeds or lower latency. So far you've looked at 3200 and 3600 MHz options across different latencies. Pick what gives you the best value for your setup.

The most affordable option is a 2x8GB 3200-3600 Cl16 kit. You might also consider a 5700/5700XT model.

Which option fits better? 3200 or 3600? Since 3600 Cl16 comes at a higher cost.

Irrelevant details aside, the C16 3200 matches the Cl18 3600 in speed. Choose the more affordable option. Updated July 3, 2020 by GDRRiley corrected the error.

they match the same delay, making 3600 a slightly better choice, though the difference is minimal. Going for 3200 might save you some cash while keeping things functional. Your roommate runs at 144Hz with a Ryzen 5 2600 and 3000MHz RAM, so you can still enjoy solid performance even on lower settings.

Since it's a Ryzen processor, I'd opt for 2666MHz RAM or higher. A CL16 or lower frequency works well too.
