Looking for ideas on a vertical gaming mouse?
I have hands that are fairly large, about 8 inches from the base of my fingers to the tip of my middle finger. I've checked many choices, but factors like weight, simplicity, rechargeability, dependability, and cost matter a lot, along with price. Since I'm an Amazon Prime member, I want something delivered by Amazon with their support for 30-day returns. This is the one I'm considering now.
Not a gamer by nature (full disclosure).
In general, the preferred mouse for most computer users is a personal preference.
This means the decision comes down entirely to individual taste.
What I personally prefer is a Logitech M310 mouse.
You should experiment with various mice to discover which one feels right and comfortable.
Visit different stores and test as many options as you can.
Try them out, see what works best.
The text describes a need for a vertical mouse to reduce forearm strain during extended gaming sessions. It explains how holding a hand in a horizontal position for long periods strains the forearm bones and tendons, potentially leading to Carpal Tunnel syndrome.
Fair enough.
I’m not a medical professional, so I won’t try to guess ways to ease the pressure.
But I recommend consulting a doctor and getting your arm and hand checked before proceeding.
What seems like a quick fix might actually lead to bigger issues later.
I once had some concerns that turned out to be wrong; a bit of physical therapy helped resolve the issue.
Perhaps a "vertical" mouse isn’t necessary after all.
That decision still depends on your doctor’s advice.
I purchased the Logitech MX Vertical at Best Buy. It was on sale with an additional 20% discount, making it a great deal. My thoughts are still uncertain. In the store, I noticed it displayed well at Office Depot and it fit comfortably in my hand. After setting it up at home, I began playing STALKER 2, using it during the sequence where you return to Duga after installing the Psi Suppressor. Initially, I achieved solid semi-long kills with the Vintar against the Monolith, but as the session extended, it felt awkward to use. It’s heavier and bulkier than my Razer, and it tends to slip when gripped. I often bumped into the end of my keyboard and accidentally brushed the scroll, causing a weapon switch at times. Reacting quickly becomes much more challenging with random creatures, especially Blood Suckers. Adjusting sensitivity is also difficult. I started with my Razer in-game sensitivity around 25%, but had to increase it to 50% and then 60%. Eventually, I lowered it to 40%, though the problems mentioned earlier remain significant.
I plan to use it for at least three to four weeks, but I’ll return it if I struggle to adapt.
