Hello everyone, I’ve noticed many discussions on forums about persistent horizontal lines appearing on M1 iMac screens just after the warranty period ends. I thought I was in the clear, but unfortunately, it happened to me too. There’s a lot of frustration out there, yet little response from Apple and no organized effort to address it. To bring more attention to this issue, I started a petition: https://change.org/imac_m1_screen . I’m hoping we can rally support and push for Apple to launch a formal Apple Service Program, as this seems to be a design or manufacturing flaw. Let’s get the traction needed to make Apple take action. Best, Michael

You didn’t reach out directly to Apple to request assistance beyond the warranty. If you haven’t done so, consider trying that approach first. I’m skeptical about petitions reaching any attention. The most effective method might involve encouraging widespread disinterest in purchasing their products.

Thank you for your input. I’ve done everything possible—completed the feedback form, reached out to online support, visited an Apple-authorized service, and even messaged Tim Cook. Despite these efforts, the response has been lackluster. I’ve also posted about my experience in forums, but they’re often blocked by anti-soliciting rules. I’m still hoping for a positive outcome. Sharing my story in public spaces hasn’t worked well either, though I’m open to any help from a celebrity or influencer that could boost the conversation. I understand my petition might not gain much traction.

The Mac Rumors discussion could offer useful insights. Sometimes locating the correct forms or phrasing helps resolve issues.
