Hello, I'm here to assist you with your gaming setup. You're looking to enhance your PC for better performance and visuals. Your current specs include a GTX 1080, an i7-9700k processor, 2x16GB RAM, and an 850W 80 Plus Platinum power supply. You're considering upgrading to a RTX 3070 Ti, an i7-13700K, and two additional RAM sticks. Your motherboard is an HP Edoras model with SSID 84FD. However, it appears it doesn't support the i7-13700K CPU or the 64GB RAM you plan to install. I recommend checking a compatible motherboard that supports these components for optimal results. Let me know if you need further guidance!

Do you have any requirements beyond basic connectivity? Regarding memory, is it DDR4 or DDR5 and how many modules will you install? Please share the type of case you're planning to use.

I have a 1 WD Red 4TB (2013) drive and a Samsung 970 Evo M.2. The new RAM is DDR4 with two 32GB sticks. I'm setting up an HP Omen Obelisk 875-0850no.

This appears to be a model from an existing machine. The HP website indicates that any Micro ATX board should work, but I recommend reaching out to HP support for confirmation. Could you let me know where you're purchasing from? This would help me suggest a product that's available and reasonably priced in your area.

I notice two choices: a Gigabyte board suitable for basic needs but limited in expansion, ideal if you only require one PCIe x16 slot, and an Asrock model priced slightly higher offering more options. The first option seems best for minimal requirements; the second adds flexibility at a small cost. In the case of the motherboard, the stand-off plates appear detachable while the tray is standard—though I recommend verifying this with HP support.

Thanks a lot for your assistance. I was just curious about another option from Gigabyte. Is this one not recommended? Or are the others simply superior? You don’t have to do anything special—just curious to satisfy my curiosity. Also, if there are more alternatives available, they might be pricier!

The biggest drawback of that board is its limited RAM capacity—just two slots. I usually steer clear because RAM can be upgraded later, extending the system's usefulness. However, if cost matters and you're okay with only two slots, it's a good choice (it seems to fit my setup).
