Considering a new motherboard and possibly more RAM might be worthwhile compared to just upgrading to a 3700x. I’d likely want an extra M.2 slot and more space overall. I think it’s best to wait for reviews on Zen3 before making a decision.
I see valorant as an example. I usually hit around 100 fps, but if I push my CPU to 3.6 it goes over 200. This happens with many of the newer titles too. My GPU usage is around 70 to 80 percent. This is just using a 1070, which isn't too bad, don't misunderstand.
