Hello! I’m evaluating upgrades and have a few options in mind. You’re considering swapping your Intel Pentium G4560 with an AMD Ryzen 5600 series processor. The price range you mentioned is around $300 total, which includes the new motherboard. Comparing the two CPUs will help determine if the performance gain justifies the cost. The AMD models you listed are priced between $80 and $222, while your current Intel setup is much cheaper. Overall, the Ryzen 5600 series offers better multi-core performance and efficiency, making it a solid choice for most tasks. If you need a balance of speed and value, the Ryzen 5600X or 5600G would be worth considering. Let me know if you’d like more details on any specific model!

Just under 10% performance. Tested with Cinebench R23, 5600G-10313, 5600X-11073. For gaming-focused builds aiming to save costs, consider the i3-12100f.

You should consider an LGA 1700 compatible motherboard for the i5-12400.

I’d choose whatever looks reasonably priced in a bundle, since low-power chips such as the i3 12100 or i5 12400 mean minimal impact if you opt for a lower-end board—provided it includes all necessary ports and features like Type-C and Wi-Fi.
