Looking for guidance on selecting a Linux OS for your old Chromebook?
I own a used Chromebook that I rely on for school work and it’s well beyond its Chrome OS lifespan. I’m considering switching to a Linux distribution, mainly for web browsing and using Chrome Remote Desktop to connect to my home PC. I’ve checked online and noticed the main problem is limited support due to its ARM architecture. Since the touchscreen is damaged, there are no suitable distros that work with it. Any advice on choosing a Linux version or troubleshooting this setup would be really helpful. Thank you!
Consider Arch Linux ARM, Fedora ARM or LXLE options. Verify compatibility with your Wi-Fi adapters and look for any additional issues, but these distros should generally function well on your system.
