Looking for guidance on mounting a motherboard in older models with varied front panel connectors.
I’m having trouble removing the front panel—it looks like it’s held in place with rivets. The manual matches what you saw in the photo, except the 5-volt is marked as reserved. Do you mean just inserting the old plug into the new socket and testing it?
Uses typical pin configuration on the left, then includes 2 NC pins and 2 LAN LED pins on the right.
You can simply use the original plug and skip the additional ones.
I attempted to link with the two additional pins on the side, but it didn't work. Nothing happened when I pressed the power button. Currently, I'm just turning it on using a screwdriver, but it's already on. Thanks for your assistance—it really means a lot.
The board is model 0nw73c. I attempted to place the old plug over the new pins with an extra 2 on top, but it didn’t work. There was no response when I pressed the power button; now I’m just turning it on using a screwdriver, which isn’t ideal but it’s working. Thanks for the help—it really means a lot.
