Hello everyone, welcome! I'm just starting out with PC building and need some advice on parts... Right now I'm dealing with a MOBO that's giving me trouble. My computer is 7 years old, and while I don't upgrade every six months, I think it's better to keep it updated more often than that. For my new build, I was thinking of a 3600/3600X... Should I choose Mobo? Since I might upgrade in about two years, do I need something like B450? If yes, which one would be best and why? Should I consider X570 for a more "upgrade" path? My main goal is gaming—playing all kinds of games, both old and new (like ATM Escape From Tarkov and Rust). I have a budget of 1200€ and don't want to waste money on unnecessary upgrades that only give a few frames. What are your thoughts?

You might opt for a ROG Strix model, picking the two you prefer most, as that’s what I suggest.

Tomahawk MAX offers solid performance for launching a 3600 in. It comes with enough features to consider future upgrades, but you won’t need another one in two years. Likely, the fourth-gen Ryzen processors will mark the final generation for this type of chipset.

MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, Gaming Plus Max, and A-PRO Max are strong choices for your setup.

Everyone agrees x570 isn't necessary for a 3600 setup.
