Looking for guidance on boosting your Ryzen 3700X?
Load Line Calibration doesn’t always ensure consistent voltage. It defines the upper voltage limit for the CPU based on increasing load (amps). The ideal target is a stable or nearly stable maximum voltage. On certain boards, raising the setting can actually boost available voltage with higher load, posing risks to your CPU. Lower settings (usually the default) reduce voltage during higher loads, which might harm stability for overclocking. For more details, check the Buildzoid video. Ryzen’s official safe range is 0.2v to 1.5v, but sustained heavy loads can push the max to 1.325v. Running it higher with many threads may cause long-term damage through electromigration.
This voltage isn't safe for the long run. The recommended max for Zen 2 is 1.325V. Even if you don't notice immediate effects, you risk harming the CPU over time. Aim for stability below 1.325V and configure your LLC to stay as close as possible without exceeding it.
