Updated Post: My Ryzen R7 3700X paired with the MSI B450 Tomahawk runs smoothly at 4.2Ghz all cores. The voltage was adjusted from 1.325v to 1.3375v. The system is now fully stable. Five consecutive Cinebench R20 runs completed without any crashes (the lower voltage didn’t cause issues). Is this adjustment safe? I’ve read about Load-Line Calibration and some sources suggest motherboard brands can affect the actual voltage applied. Also, I’ve heard that MSI boards typically provide lower voltages while Gigabyte tends to offer higher ones. So, is 1.3375v appropriate or could my CPU be receiving more than that?

Cinebench isn't ideal for assessing stability. Sufficient testing requires several hours on AIDA64 or Prime95. The Vcore voltage error is around 0.01v.

The LLC regulates voltage gradually over time. With a reading of 1.334v during stress tests, it seems acceptable. Stick to the set voltage if you've configured it properly. Zen 2 is capable of managing up to 1.5v peaks safely.

The only way to determine your actual voltage at the CPU is using test probes and a multimeter, unless you rely on monitoring software or BIOS/motherboard tools. Running the CPU under stress tests like AIDA64 or Intel burn test for several hours isn’t essential unless you’re near the maximum capacity, except for short durations (around 30 minutes) at a stable speed. Cinebench helps assess overall performance, showing whether all-core static OC performs better or worse than PBO—likely slower. However, Cinebench doesn’t reliably reflect system stability since it’s a single test lasting about a minute.

LLC ensures consistent voltage across varying load conditions, such as transitioning from maximum output to shutdown and back again. However, if the LLC is set too high, it can cause voltage spikes during intense CPU usage followed by sudden idle periods.

Below 1.40 volts is acceptable, yet the Vcore SOC can damage a CPU much quicker than excessive Vcore.

Back then, they said a 24-hour stress test was needed to confirm full stability on Sandybridge. I only ran 12 hours and considered it a shortcut. Now I just do AIDA 64 for a few hours, use Blender, handle Handbrake, and play some games. Lol.
