I want to increase the clock speed of my new Intel Core i5 4690K from 3.5Ghz to 4.0Ghz or 4.2Ghz. Could someone guide me through the process step by step? I’m having trouble finding clear instructions online, especially about voltage settings and BIOS adjustments. Please explain everything carefully so I understand what to do.

The motherboard and its BIOS are limited to a 100Mhz overclock, but if you're fortunate, adjusting the BCLK from 100 to about 103 can help. You'll require a Z motherboard for full unlocked multiplier and voltage overclocking, meaning you need a more durable and powerful board.
