Looking for guidance on assembling a custom PC within a $2000 limit.
Looking for guidance on assembling a custom PC within a $2000 limit.
This is my initial attempt at assembling a computer, though I’ve had some experience adjusting components before.
I own a reasonably good 2019 iBUYPOWER prebuilt unit.
I’ve increased the RAM and upgraded the power supply.
Build Specifications:
Mid to high performance, low to high range.
Budget: Up to $2000, though I’d prefer a lower cost.
I plan to buy components between April and June of this year.
My game collection spans from budget to premium, and I sometimes play Counter Strike competitively, aiming for maximum FPS. Later, I might switch to Cyberpunk 2077 and focus on quality rather than raw FPS.
Current resolution is 1440x1080 at 144 Hz; I hope to upgrade to 2560x1440 at 240 Hz eventually.
Parts Information:
I tried to compile a PCPartPicker list but omitted some items due to uncertainty.
For the graphics card, I considered a 4070(Ti) to 4080 super, though opinions on the latter are mixed.
The CPU recommendation is the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
I installed a Corsair 850x power supply into my existing PC and would appreciate it if you could keep it.
Other components are mostly placeholders with minimal research (these are the items needing assistance).
Any support would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
You're looking for a compact RAM setup when pairing with a dual tower CPU cooler so the cooler can effectively manage the heatsinks. The RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB is just out, and you can expect more of these models to appear soon. I included a Gigabyte unit as a temporary solution. This case offers superior airflow and extra space.

This model delivers a genuine overclock, reaching up to 2655 MHz. It includes a triple-slot, triple-fan cooler and dual BIOS options for flexibility. Keep in mind it may be slightly noisier than other options on the market.
