Here are your current PC details rephrased:

- Z370 Aorus Gaming 5 board with Aorus ATC700 cooler
- Intel i7-8086K processor
- DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 32GB main + 4x8GB NVMe
- Force MP500 120GB primary drive, WDC 500GB SATA/600GB SSD backup
- Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2060 Extreme 6G
- Your question: which NVMe SSD should I get for RAID 0?

You’re considering two choices:
1. Two 500GB Gen4 NVMe drives
2. Two 512GB Aorus RGB NVMe 3rd gen drives

Your motherboard supports 4th Gen NVMe SSDs, but you’re unsure if it will handle the 4900 read and 4200 write speeds mentioned in reviews for that generation. Since your exact model isn’t specified, it’s best to check the official compatibility list on Gigabytes’ site before deciding.

raid 0 offers limited benefit on SSDs. It mainly boosts sequential access speeds, which is useful for moving big files, but it doesn’t enhance random read/write operations—important for gaming and regular use.

You'd use two NVMe SSDs in Raid 0 to boost speed and reliability, especially since NVMe drives already offer high performance. This setup helps maintain consistent speed while spreading data across devices for better durability.

I don't agree with this. My RAID0 configuration of 860 EVOs offers around 25-30% improvement in game loading times, as confirmed in a heavily modded ARK: Survival Evolved test. Even with SSDs, long load times persist, but RAID0 still delivers benefits similar to HDD setups—by reading from two drives simultaneously.

I would use one bigger drive instead of two smaller ones and set it up in RAID.

You'll experience optimal speed from your Aorus NVMe 4th gen SSD in your system.

In everyday situations gaming works just fine, but SSDs perform equally well. The real advantage comes when handling huge files where NVMe excels.
