I enjoy CRPGs and would suggest starting with Tyranny if you're interested. It offers a compelling narrative with rich dialogue and text, placing you in the role of an antagonist leader that adds depth to the usual choices. It performs well on older hardware. If you appreciate Diablo 2, Path of Exile is also worth checking out—it's free on Steam and known for its challenging gameplay. I recommend exploring a build after mastering the basics, as it can be quite demanding. I've found it engaging, and they're adding new content soon.

It's enjoyable initially, but as you progress to higher areas, it becomes increasingly frustrating and you find yourself repeatedly returning to the same spots.

Tyranny is a very good old school Isometric RPG. You can choose sides and be good or evil etc. I really enjoyed it when I played it. http://store.steampowered.com/app/362960/Tyranny/ There is also Pillars of Eternity from the same dev. http://store.steampowered.com/app/291650..._Eternity/ **Just noticed someone else mentioned Tyranny above**

Do you like DnD style combat? Because Bioware's bread and butter were RPGs that used it like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. There's also Wasteland if you liked Fallout. I also was enjoying the new Shadowrun game, but then I got distracted by something else.
