You're planning to build a system quickly within a week. Here are your specs: an Intel i5-2500K with stock cooler, 8GB RAM at 1333MHz DDR3 (single channel), a Gigabyte H61 motherboard that supports up to 16GB RAM, a 120GB SSD, and a 500GB HDD. You're considering a budget PSU and want to stream high-quality games using an ultra-fast preset on OBS with a bitrate up to 35kbps. You're looking for popular games that are compatible for both playing and streaming without needing a dedicated GPU. I recommend checking titles in genres like action, first-person shooters, and competitive multiplayer. Since you don’t have a dedicated GPU right now, you might explore options like using your GTX 1050 or T400 later, but for now, focus on games that work well with your setup and streaming capabilities.
Be cautious about using older games on that iGPU, especially streaming. It might be tricky unless you're into retro titles.
Try adding another stick of memory right away for dual channel setup. Don't waste time streaming at unreal bitrates—you'll be playing on low to medium 900p, and Twitch's 6 Mbps limit is more than enough. Enjoy the original Half-Life, the extensions blue shift, Half-Life 2, Portal games, Bioshock titles, RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin, Dungeon Siege 1 & 2, 3, Neverwinter Nights, and other games from 2006–2012. Integrated graphics should handle it fine. P.S. Few people are aware of OlX, so bringing it up isn't really necessary (translation... it's like eBay).
It's just as bad as my x58 testbench 2500k—you’ll need to push it to 4.8g at least to achieve decent performance, and a mediocre 1155 stock cooler won’t help. You can build a budget 775thic copper core cooler with zip ties for some overclocking potential. An older BIOS might work, and you could try throttling via throttlestop while adjusting voltages using voltmodding (just use conductive ink or aluminum foil on the pads to follow Intel guidelines up to 1.52V). Get another cooler because single-channel setups ruin the unoverclocked performance even more. What kind of 400W PSU do you have? Just ensure it’s not a cheap Chinese model that might fail under light load, and it should last until you upgrade to a GPU. Since you don’t have one, play old games like Half-Life, Half-Life 2, CS:1.6—anything that isn’t graphics-heavy will work, including Minecraft.
You’ll need to follow the twitch standards, which are around 2500-5000 and apply everywhere, no matter the platform. The GPU or CPU won’t handle much beyond that, but it could still function if the game runs smoothly at acceptable frame rates.
It's not a mainline two-in-one so you'll get functional FPS but on the weaker end because of excessive overclocking at 2500k plus single-channel performance. That means the CPU isn't up to its full potential with dual-channel RAM. Also, do you still have the 1030 model? It should perform much better than the integrated GPU.
For a smooth experience, your setup should support NVENC (GTX650 and newer). Otherwise, you'll only get up to 2700kbps and 720p at best. It's better to play solo and avoid any extra strain from encoding.
