You know I never thought i'd say this but i'm actually missing good old fashioned Combat Arms. I know the developers are absolute *****, I know the weapon balancing is more like weapon unbalancing, I know it's a Pay-To-Win and they make you give up you're entire bank account for a couple of super OP guns but I just miss it, and it seems like today we've lost that kind of game that Combat Arms was. I mean mention a game with as many diverse maps and weapons as Combat Arms and i'll be impressed, and yes I've played the new Line Of Sight Game but its not the same and it'll never be the same. Game Developers in the past few years have been rushing to give us titles that are either a hundred years ahead or a hundred years behind and I don't like it. Can we please just have a nice 2017 based fps with lots of diverse maps and weapons? Oh and another thing I miss about CA is running around wearing all sorts of weird ****, so side-note for the developers deviate from this strict military uniform thing you've got going on like in A.V.A. and Black Squad. And I wanna have to grind my butt off for the top level as well. You know as I was writing this I'm actually getting a little worried, is there a game like that out there that i'm not seeing?? One that's not totally dead? What do you guys think? Do you like these first person shooters from 3017?

I haven't really played those free-to-play shooters before. I tried Combat Arms once, but it had a lot of cheaters. That's a big issue with F2P shooters. I spent a day on GunZ, but there were too many balancing problems. There was another F2P shooter on Steam, but I can't remember the name—it seemed to require just paying to win. Then there was Dity Bomb, which felt a bit like TF2. The player base and excitement faded quickly too. Recently I played Black Squad after hearing it had decent registration numbers. It was a fun, straightforward game of running and shooting. But I always struggle with games like that. They tend to draw in beginners, and even paid players can be easily beaten. When I first played Black Squad, I easily beat 55 opponents with just four kills—like playing John Wick! I'm used to beating other shooters easily. This one feels way too simple. I’m not sure what the designers intended. It seems to target less experienced players with big bank accounts. It runs on almost any system, which is a plus. But the recoil is too forgiving, there are no real consequences for movement or spray control, and the community is weak. The only interesting mode is 16vs16 with multiple objectives, which feels like a repetitive team deathmatch. Personally, these games don’t challenge skill much or offer real enjoyment. I think people now prefer more skill-based titles, especially those with esports appeal. So to answer your question—no, I haven’t enjoyed those F2P games. And honestly, I’m glad most players stuck with other shooters in 2017. By the way, you might want to try Argo; it looks promising."
